An important part of every holiday is the nightlife, and in the Fethiye region you really are spoilt for choice. The great thing about Oleander Apartment is that it is within easy reach of the five local towns by bus, taxi or foot. And if you don't want to go too far there is a fantastic selection of places to eat and drink within a few hundred meters of the site. Of course everyone's taste is different but we have put together a selection of our favourite places from our 15 years of going to Turkey.

Firstly the five towns - Ovacik (where the apartment is) is pretty low key, Hisaronu (1km away) is very lively and neon lit, Fethiye (8km away) is your traditional Turkish working harbour town, Oludeniz (5km away) is laid back chilled out beach vibe and Kayakoy (6km away) is the ghost town with unique restaurants set amongst the old ruins.

Ovacik:

Mirage, Three Cheers, Angora and Aubergine (all on the main road just down from the apartment)

Karizma (top road towards Fethiye).

Yengec (in the valley towards Hisaronu)

Narlibahce (in the valley towards Fethiye)

Pasa Sofrasi (traditional Turkish) half way down the road to Hisaronu on your right - really friendly owners!!

Babadag Mountain:

1700 Babadag Bar and Grill - amazing views and great food at the top of Babadag mountain (taxi up and down)

Hisaronu:

There's a huge choice here but we don't normally go to Hisaronu at night - we prefer the 'laid back' or more traditional. But here are some recommendations from other guests.

Piano Bar, Festival, Olive tree, Fez Bar, Abrakebabrah....

Oludeniz:

Drinks, food and chill out at Buzz Beach Bar (our favourite)

Rooftop views and sundowners at The Hangout

Cocktails and food at Sey Beach Lounge

Sunset views at Jade Terrace

Kebabs and pizzas at Bella Gusto

There's plenty more choice up 'The Strip' running away from the beach front, but it also get a bit more 'British'.

Fethiye:

Pick your own fish / prawns at the fish market and have Hilmi restaurant cook them for you. Quite hard to find (in between the dolmus stop and 'Umbrella' street)

Sit under the shade in Megri

Charming bistro courtyard at Kukina

Harbour views at Matisse (on the water front promenade heading away from Fethiye towards Calis)

Live music, people watching and drinks at Car Cemetry or Deep Blue Bar on 45 Sk

Kayakoy:

Pick your own meat and cook it barbeque style at Cinbals

Eat dinner in the shadow of the ghost town at The Lebessos restaurant and cellar*

Stunning setting and food at Izela *

Peaceful and intimate setting at Jazibe *
